Sorry, this particular lie will no longer be permitted. No WMD at ALL.
If, for some reason, you are considering the junk that was found left
over
from the Iraq-Iran war buried in the sand and forgotten by all, I
really do feel sorry for you.
No, the term WMD does not apply just to large stockpiles but also
to the programs and materials that were found.
Enough.
In his final word, the CIA's top weapons inspector in Iraq said Monday
that the hunt for weapons of mass destruction has "gone as far as
feasible" and has found nothing, closing an investigation into the
purported programs of Saddam Hussein that were used to justify the
2003 invasion.
"After more than 18 months, the WMD investigation and debriefing of
the WMD-related detainees has been exhausted," wrote Charles Duelfer,
head of the Iraq Survey Group, in an addendum to the final report he
issued last fall.
Let's use Duelfer as an expert since you trust him:
<<With respect to chemical production, Iraq was working up to March 2003 to
construct new facilities for the production of chemicals. There were plans
under the direction of a leading nuclear scientist/WMD program manager to
construct plants capable of making a variety of chemicals and producing a
year's supply of any chemical in a month. This was a crash program. Most
of the chemicals specified in this program were conventional commercial
chemicals, but a few are considered "dual use." One we are examining,
commonly called DCC (N,N-Dicyclohexyl carbodiimide), was used by Iraq before
1991 as a stabilizing agent for the nerve agent VX. ...>>https://www.cia.gov/cia/public_affairs/speeches/2004/tenet_testimony_...
Blah blah. No WMD here.
<<Likewise, in the nuclear arena, the ISG has developed information that
suggests Iraqi interest in preserving and expanding the knowledge needed to
design and develop nuclear weapons.>>https://www.cia.gov/cia/public_affairs/speeches/2004/tenet_testimony_...
Blah blah. No WMD here.
<<In addition to WMD technologies, the ISG has continued to uncover a very
robust program for delivery systems that were not reported to the UN. New
information has been discovered relating to long-range ballistic missile
development and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Missiles and UAVs were
flight tested that easily exceeded the UN limit of 150 kilometers. >>https://www.cia.gov/cia/public_affairs/speeches/2004/tenet_testimony_...
Blah blah, delivery systems. No WMD here.
Bush says no WMD. Are you calling him a liar, Herb? Yes or no.
I believe these people and this President:
That's nice. You weren't asked.
And I can make a statement only when asked?
You can do whatever you like. I still believe in civil rights.
However, its good to see that you DO
in fact, believe President William Jefferson Clinton, and do not say
the
same of the so-called President Bush.
Did I say i didn't believe President Bush (it is a shame that you
believe he is "so called" - he was duly elected).
If you say so. You did say you believed Clinton, who also said that
he destroyed Iraq's WMD program.
you are learning.
LOL I am learning that you are intellectually dishonest.
Really. A man who cites quotes made BEFORE all WMD were destroyed
in Iraq as evidence that they should have been invaded to destroy them
later. Yes, I'm sure one of us is intellectually dishonest. Its a
shame, really,
since you appear to be capable of rational discourse, which I can't
say about
others (on both sides).
Its excellent to know that you agree that President Clinton did, in
fact,
destroy all the WMD
He didn't.
No? Yet, we both agree that when the statements were made, there
were WMD in Iraq. Clinton launched air strikes (which he was pilloried
for by the conservatives) and destroyed them. They no longer exist,
which the President has admitted. Explain, please.
and that Bush lied about it. Thank you for your
continued support!
I support efforts to eradicate terrorism.
Too bad you don't.
The more you say, the less you seem to know. You understand nothing of
me and my background, or how I might feel about terrorists, yet you
make blanket statements like that. Very interesting. Very informative.
