It is not. Mort's claim is based on the fact that the founder of the
ACLU was the national chairman of the US Communist Party, an
organization that had nothing to do with what Mort thinks of as
"Communism". Then again, Mort hasn't much of a clue about anything.

So maybe it would be better to say that the ACLU was founded by
communists whose stated goal was communism for America.
