Straw man. My argument is that firearms violence is set by
cultural
factors and not the availability of firearms. Lets argue that
issue...
America is awash with guns, America has a terrible gun crime
problem.
Only a fool would not link the two....
If you are trying to do so in a causal way, you become the fool.
Why do you gunloons dispute the blindingly obvious?
Why do other societies with more guns have less crime?
Which country has more guns than America?
Depends on what KIND of firearms. Switzerland, for example,
requires
most housholds have a fully automatic assault rifle along with a supply
of
ammunition. Most houses have these (in addition to 'sporting' firearms).
Yet
the murder rate (all causes -- not just by firearms) is extremely low
there.
This alone tells me that firearms are NOT the problem. And I note
you've not even attempted to address the second question Mr. Franks
asked:
"Why do other societies with fewer guns have more crime?"
Are there any such countries?
So what you're saying is that your prior assertion wasn't a factual
statement but rather a declaration of opinion based on your ignorance?
.
