You have the natural right to self defense

But only if you need to defend yourself. You don't have a natural right to
expect special weapons privileges 24/7/365/life if you're never actually
assaulted. It's not an unlimited right; it's a right based on need.

Because if you behave as if you're constantly under attack when you never
are, you've become a walking time bomb. And you don't have a right to pre-
emptively kill people just because you have an unreasonable fear of attack.

Anyway you don't have any special privilege to choose any weapon for self-
defense, especially where one isn't required.

have the appropriate tool for the job.

20 thousand years ago that would
have been rock hatchets and speers. Times change and so do the tools,
but the rights remain the same.
