Detroit police say the no-questions-asked gun buyback program has
generated an overwhelming response from residents.
But they worry the money to pay for the weapons is going to run out.
Police say two days into the buyback, 250 firearms, including an A-K-47
rifle, have been turned in.
Two things here. First, WHAT "overwhelming response?" Does anyone
really doubt that there aren't 250 guns in any one public-housing
project in Detroit?
Second, just WHAT guns are being "no-questions-asked" are being
conveniently disposed of by owners in this? Is this program being used
by felons as a guaranteed way to avoid ever being successfully
prosecuted in shootings - by making the guns used not traceable to them
when the police get them?
No $4 to park! No $6 admission!
