This question is for you Christian folks:
If you had to choose between owning a gun or owning a Bible, which
would you choose?
Please don't dodge the bullet (no pun intended) by stating things like,
"The question is not logical because our All Mighty Father would never
come between me and my gun," or "You liberals always try to lump gun
people with Bible people," or something like that.
Just answer the question.
Then gun
By the time you are old enough to own a gun, a good Christian has a good
understanding of what it takes to be a good Christian
The Bible would only serve to refresh one's memory of the pertinent lessons
On the other hand, in Luke 22:36, while telling the apostles to prepare for
their future mission to spread the word, Jesus advised them to:
"...sell their coats to buy a sword..."
And the apostles had no bibles to take with them
In the same way today, a good Christian can always find a bible along his
way. And if not, should have a good grasp of what it takes to live his life
as a Christian.
For that a bible would be nice, but not a necessity.
But for facing life's tribulations, the modern equivalent of a sword, the
gun, would be far more useful, to garantee his survival and ability to
spread the word.
