Hi All,
Apparently I have not been paying much attention to some of the new
laws that Indiana Governor Daniels has signed. I was doing some
research for an upcoming Podcast (Internet radio show ) about how to
obtain a handgun license in the State of Indiana. I came across House
bill's 1176 which has been passed by the Senate and the House and
signed by the governor, March of 2006.
The main thing that has changed is that the state now can issue a
lifetime license. The fee for the lifetime license is $125. If you
have never had a license before. If you are renewing a license from a
four year to a lifetime and will cost you $100. Which I think is really
good deal for a lifetime license. You can still obtain a four-year
license, but it has gone up to $30 and the replacement cost if you lose
your license has gone up from $5 to $20.
I've been working quite a bit on the Gun Rights Advocates Podcast Show
Notes web site @ http://gunrights.us .
You think that charging a fee (a tax) and having to get a license to
exercise a right is the correct thing to do?
