The answers to your questions, in order, are: yes, no, and no.

On second thought, the answer to question 2 might be a qualified yes.
Y'see, in addition to being a grumpy old fart, I am also an extremely
busy old fart. At some point, I expect to have the time (and money)
required to devote to proper firearm ownership. I'm not there, yet.

On third thought, the answer to question 3 might also be a qualified
yes. I live in California.
