I think you might be reading a little too much into Miller.
The problem is that keeping arms in your home and bearing them when
called out to do the business of a well-regulated isn't the same as
carrying a firearm for your personal self-defense. Neither does it
speak to the issue of self-preservation (hunting), sporting and
recreation, or legitimate livelihood (which just popped into my head
and should probably be added to the list).
Well do provide us with the semantic analysis that demonstrate that the 2nd
restricts the bearing of arms for militia use ONLY..
Just read the whole sentence & you're done.
