Weasel Logic- Gun Industry to Blame For Improving Product
LH: >I bought a used, plain Model 94 in the late 80s for
LH: >about $150; that's all you need to pay today for a
LH: >Model 94 in good used condition. I bet I could buy
LH: >that same rifle today for about the same price, might
LH: >have to be a private sale, but the gun's real cash
LH: >value is about the same.
LH: >That's why the gun industry has flooded America with
LH: >hundreds of millions of guns; if they don't sell NEW
LH: >guns, they go bankrupt. But because guns have to be
LH: >well made so they don't explode in your face, they
LH: >last a long time with ordinary care.
LH: >If our country's gonna survive we have to reduce
LH: >the numbers of guns, not increase them as an act of
LH: >public welfare for the gun industry.
We've been tricked, ladies and gentlemen. tricked by the gun industry.
According to the latest from Violence Policy Center spokesblob Lee
"Jabba" Harrison, the firearms industry has been making improvements
to their product solely to entice us into buying new guns.
They know the guns they've sold us last forever, so the only way to
get us to buy a new gun is to slap on some fancy glo-in-the-dark
sites, increase the caliber, add magazine capacity, and get Charlton
Heston to hold it up at the next NRA meeting.
Where *any* other industry might be commended for improving its
product, the VPC condemns it in this case as "public welfare." Note
how, with his final revealing comment, Jabba tried to confuse and blur
the line between actual "public welfare" and the actions of private
individuals privately purchasing goods with their own money.
Is it jealousy? Is Harrison angry because he can't afford a new
Winchester lever action? Is he angry because people are making
personal decisions without his input or control? Or is he just on
another one of his sugar highs?
You apparently have a problem with logic and common sense."The two are mutually exclusive, in case you didn't know.. *>LOL!<*"
