a) I told Bill I would accept it if he provide pretty much anything. He did
in the form of a DD214 and form 825.
b) When Bill was asked questions that might indicate he had some prior
military experience, he could have easily Googled for some of the answers.
He didn't. Since he was unwilling to do something so simple to prove his
history, I would find it difficult to believe he'd go through the trouble of
digging up documentation that wasn't his.
c) I think publicly providing false documentation to claim a military
background would seem a sufficient risk as to make it unlikely that Bill
would do so.
d) I posted my DD214 with the expectation that vets would see it as legit. I
likewise could post my father's documents (if I had the slightest idea where
they might be).

It was the deal I made. Bill lived up to his end of the bargain and I was
bound to live up to mine.
