Ack. What IS this thing you have about restating something to death in
spite of the fact that its wrong? Listening to our President, are you?
The Court has NOT stated the 2nd is an individual right. End of story.
If you can cite a case in which the SCOTUS has *specifically* said the
2nd is an individual right, do so, or quit claiming it. Inferences,
opinions of other courts, and the like do not count.
You have been given opinions from the Court. Has the Court specifically
stated the Second was an individual right? No, It has however, defined
the term "the people" and stated that the first eight amendments
guaranteed rights to the individual against federal interference. You
were given cites for both of those.
That was all I asked. Did the Court specifically claim that the 2nd was
an individual right. I said no. I've been harangued ever since.
Yep. My idea of why was addressed in another post.
Side tangents have been introduced.
Yep, always happens in loose media like this.
I've been attacked as a "gun grabber" (I never grab guns, they might go off).
See above comment about the other post. Watch phraseology.
I've been told I support gun control (I do not).
It gets rather old. You just agreed with the ONLY statement I've made.
I never disagreed with it. I simply made points about what the Court
had said in other cases that could apply to the Second Amendment.
Care to show where the Court has said that the Second Amendment is a
*collective* right?
Can't, because they haven't. At least not that I know of. I don't
really care
to dig through case law to see if they've failed to overturn some lower
court that claimed that, and I really don't care that much.
You spend a lot of time in here over something you claim you don't care
that much about. As do I. ;)
