Hi everyone. I have a question for all of you in here. I consider
myself pro-animal rights and there are some things that have been
going on at the Outer Banks that make me question some supposed pro-
animal groups tactics. Is it ever ok to kill an animal to save
another? For example, if a bird is endangered and a predator shows up
near the nest, is it ok to not just trap the animal, but to kill it?
I just find this kind of bizarre. Who says that a bird's life is
worth more than a fox's? Wouldn't it be better to either remove the
eggs and incubate them if the numbers are so low or protect the birds
with cages or something that maybe the bird could go through but
predators couldn't? How can you be pro animal and kill animals?
Shouldn't the people who are donating money for "the cause" be aware
of what is going on?

There were a lot of shade trees around the house,... of birds tended to do to a nice clean batch of clothes on the line. ... and they were only too glad to eat all the birds I would kill....
