influence on a person's freedom.
When Germany, Austria and Switzerland recently reformed the rules for
spelling German, it resulted in a constitutional court case, with some
(unsuccessfully) claiming it was an infringement on their freedom of
expression.
Uniform spelling is a communist plot to pollute our precious
body fluids.
Normative spelling advocates, like normative grammarians, are like Cnut
