Think of what it would cost to move New Orleans? It is doomed.
Not only are there the people costs, the infrastructure losses,
but the port there is one of the primary, if not the primary
port for unloading imported fuels.
That's just one city.
Can anyone say, "We have a problem Houston?".
Ok. Add Houston to the list. Austin will probably be OK.
Aha; that proves that it is all a liberal conspiracy...
Of course it is. We libruls control the universe. We can
do anything but get Sarah Palin to shut up.
She clearly is Not of this World...
Well, *that* is not news. She's a fascinating study in
hucksterism. She's gotten rich off her popularity and
in my opinion, will not run for any public office at all.
Which means that she'll be a pain in the arse to everyone.
But on the plus side, she'll siphon off a lot of money that would have
otherwise gone to Republican candidates. The wackiest of Republican
candidates.
Yes, and cost them votes, just as she will cost the Democrats votes.
Our old politicaly ways are breaking up. Things will be very
interesting. We've been through this before when the old parties
changed to their almost modern forms (right after the civil war).
What will emerge I do not know. What I do know is that there has
been a large shift of the voter base to the right. A right-wing
democrat is now liberal. Folks just don't understand, for example,
that Bill Clinton was a center-right wing democrat. He's now
more or less lumped in with the moderate left wing of the party.
And that's a change in the last decade in a half.
