What is with Ray anyway?  Is he always like this?  Is he a mental
patient or simply choosing to be ignorant, obtuse, and juvenile?

Ray is a follower of the late Gene Scott, an iconoclastic teevee
preacher out of Los Angeles.  Rev. Scott was an odd one, but was
probably best known for demanding his followers give him money and it
was nobody's business but Gene's and God's what he did with it.
Scott's "teaching" was a blend of genuine, marginal, and bogus
Biblical and extra-Biblical scholarship which combined with his
demands for absolute loyalty to produce some amazingly misinformed
followers.

Often Ray seems to be acting out some of Gene's old tropes (not the
money part, of course).

When we remember that Dr. Gene Scott (Ph.D. Stanford University)
refuted evolution, the slander seen above is explained rather
instantly.

That never happened, Ray, and you know it. Scott only ever preached to
the choir. He *never* put any sort of refutation into any forum where
genuine scientists could evaluate it.

Dr. Scott has explained that God deludes the mind with a false view of
nature (= evolution) as a punishment for denying ID to exist in
nature.

We now have an explanation as to why a theory with no evidence in
support is accepted.

Ah, so you think that God is a trickster, a liar. Thanks for clarifying.

Why would anyone care about your completely unsubstantiated god?- Hide quoted text -

Whatever God says or does is righteousness.

Oh? I have to admit that me, I have a little
trouble with "leave alive nothing that breathes".
Or the order to kill all the men, women, and
children with the exception of the nubile
young female virgins. Or the command
to stone rebellious kids to death.

And a whole lot more, to boot.
