Not necessarily. If Dayne acts like this around people in their presence, he probably makes folks nervous. She may not have seen any police nearby.

Or perhaps she was intoxicated, and only temporarily deranged.

If you look at stars through gaps between moving clouds the stars may appear to be moving in the opposite direction to the clouds. This illusion can be dispelled by changing the field of view to include a fixed point.

It's possible that people that are not in the habit of looking at the sky may be unaware of this illusion.
