It seems as though the time has come for science to reshape it's
thinking again with yet another new and startling discovery. This time
it is a doosey.
"Now the first tentative hint of a deviation from general relativity
has been found. While the evidence is far from watertight, if
confirmed by bigger surveys, it may indicate either that Einstein's
theory is incomplete, or else that dark energy, the stuff thought to
be accelerating the expansion of the universe, is much weirder than we
thought "
So what we need here is to make up a better story:
"Evidence that over large distances gravity exerts a greater pull on
time than on space (see main story) might not necessarily suggest that
the theory of general relativity is wrong. It could instead be a sign
that the universe's acceleration may require a more exotic
explanation.'
God's dimention?
"One idea is that the entire universe exists on a membrane, or brane,
floating inside an extra dimension"

I liked the "exotic explanation" part. That is all we really need
right? Truth? We don't need no stinking truth when we can have exotic
explanations, right? !
Anyway, on to my point. Look at how many years the the theory of
general relativity has been taught as "fact" in schools and
universities but, now it seems as if the theory of general relativity
has cracks, it may be incorrect, or perhaps even incomplete.
So what is the good news? We have a head start regarding the theory of
evolution. Many of us already know evolution has cracks; may be
incorrect; perhaps incomplete and is nothing more then some wild
exotic explanation for the origins of species.
