Yes, that was the case in Ohio when I was in college. And more
flunked out. Today, most of those kids end up in a two year college
and don't at all start at a four year school. But they don't learn
a trade. We have an abhorence of teaching anything practical.

And, at the same time, an abhorence of teaching or learning
anything impractical (art, music, theoretical math or science, ...)

But we have great parties!
