Mhh, possibly, not sure ;o). She taught me history of science, which
is why I have it in my bookcase . She is more historian than
philosopher of ideas, with lots (and sometimes confusing) attention to
the nitty gritty detail, and (in my opinion) not very analytic. Some
of her later work I thought was better, some of it on the historical
relation between religion and science , some of it on biology during
Nazism, which I found more interesting.
You can have a "taster" in a book edited by Wolfgang Kullmann, Jochen
Althoff, Markus Asper, Gattungen wissenschaftlicher Literatur in der
Antike
I think she may have contributed in English for a change to a book
with conference proceeding she edited (and contributed to),
Proceedings of the International Congress on the History of Sciences
Bochum : Brockmeyer, 1989
Her earlier work is also often on earlier history of biology, but more
recently she covered biology under nazism, and that one has been
translate into English, Anne Baumer-Schleinkofer, Neil Beckhaus
(Translator)Nazi Biology and Schools
Peter Lang Publishing 1995.
Try that one for size would be my recommendation ;o)
