What tiny percentage of the human ape population can do that?

I would say 100%, but I have to consider infants and invalids. So 95% of
the human population can be taught to do all of those things with skill,

Ah! Taught.

Can chimps be taught to worship a deity?

Nah! They are far too intelligent for that.

Or are they just taught to act
like they are? I know what your response is going to be, so let's see it.

communication and courtesy. Apes? You might be able to get them to do a
few things, but not with the same level of aptitude as humans.

30,000 years...way back before the fucking pyramids were even built.
Humans built the Great Pyramid. Apes did not.

Yes, it looks like the really big leap started about 30,000 years ago.
That really isn't very long you know. In the previous million years
very little had changed, we were tool users but the tools changed very
little. You really should study human evolution you know.

Why? It's so long and controversial that scientists can't even agree on
it. I'm imaginative enough and cognizant to see the difference between
now and the last 4 million years, and the last 30,000 years. And I've
looked at it. And even if the current "leap" started 30,000 years ago, it
doesn't mean that we are not on the cusp of another. The timelines of the
past are not indicative of the timelines of the future.

Meaningless word salad.

What, about the evolution of the past, affects the evolution of the
future?

Oh! Is that what you were on about? In that case, no. Past evolution
has no affect on future evolution. That is NOT how evolution works.

How does science predict the future of evolution, based on homo-sapiens
genetics as we understand it now?

Science cannot predict the future of evolution.

Where are the other creatures over us who keep us living in the jungles?

We are part of the world's ecology.

There's a random statement of fact. Naturally, it doesn't address the
question, but dodges it. You must be a politician. You think we're just
part of the ecology, and we are...but we're more advanced.

That we are part of the world's ecology means that the damage we do
other life will (already is) come back and hit us in the face.

Wild animal invasion of our space? If that's the case, those are shot.
Elephants who escape from circuses and go on rampages through cities are
shot and killed. Think of if from their perspective. They're escaping
jail. We are killing them for trying to escape and all they want to do is
be free.

You really are VERY thick.

It's a choice humans make to imprison other species. Spiders do it by
instinct. We do it to have a good time and make money. If animals are
psychic, maybe that's why they're not happy with us. They can talk to
their families, but can't see them. Until we free the animals from the
zoos, maybe we'll still be at war with the species of the jungle.

I liked zoos as a kid, I suppose... just going there, but I don't remember
really being Ooohed and Aaahed by anything. Stuff was cute and
interesting, but I always wondered if they were happy in cages. The
monkeys, apes, gorillas, etc... seemed most adapted to it, but who's to
wonder what they might be thinking? They seem to feel, then express their
feelings directly with sounds and movement. We humans learn to control
our movements despite our feelings. Can anyone tell if primates have any
self control? Can you tell what they're feeling apart from their bodily
movements?

Learn some science.

Where are the creatures that threaten to drive us into extinction?

These days it is the microbes that could do it.

LOL! Saying that microbes could drive us into extinction is a real
stretch considering they haven't done it for all these millions of years.

Extinction? Maybe not quite, there will be some who survive. But if
the numbers are too small for a viable breeding community then a major
plague could mark the end of humans.

Apart from some artificially-created plague specifically designed to
annihilate humans, we would have the evolutionary foundation for fighting
off any new diseases that come about naturally.

Maybe. The Zaire virus, has the highest case-fatality rate at the
moment - up to 90% in some epidemics.

That could actually reduce the human population below the viable
level. It would certainly reduce humanity below the civilization
level.

Or some would. Those who
don't would die. Those who do would survive and pass whatever genetics
they had that survived the disease on to their children.

Maybe, depends on the nature of the genetic traits.

That our
population has only grown in recent times means that we'd need some
disaster on the planet like an impact event....or something man-made. I'd
like to get folks to think about what potential humans have before some
lunatic sets off a nuclear bomb thinking we're just apes and need to be
reset.

again this stupid "just apes" idea. Where do you get it from?

Immortality is more likely than extinction.

Immortality is impossible.

LOL That's just so hilarious from my perspective.

It is? I really do think you should look up the word "immortal" and
understand what it means. Until you do you will just go on making a
fool of yourself.

It shows how
diametrically opposed we are.

Yes, I'm educated, you are not.

You are certain that what I know is true is
impossible. You can see that this means I will not be moved from my
position by anything.

Yes, your stupidity really is showing on this.

[snip even more stupidity.]
