Gee, sorry Walter. I guess I did put those words in your mouth,
even though you never said them explicitly. But wouldn't you
agree that your argument deals with a limitation on how fast
natural selection can fix genetic information, whereas Fisher's
infamous 'Fundamental Theorem' deals with how rapidly
natural selection can add fitness? I've always felt that "speed
of evolution" arguments like Haldane's would be better if the
informational aspect were made more explicit.
