Apparently, one of the main themes of his writing is that
the Greek "myths" are just mangled retellings of
"true stories" from the Bible.  For example, in "Noah
in Ancient Greek Art", he argues the the obscure,
shape-shifting, Greek God "Nereus" is actually
Noah - a notion so silly it doesn't even get mentioned
in the Wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nereus

In addition:
"Mr. Johnson is the co-inventor (with Ron
Pramschufer) of the controversial board games
Public Assistance: Why Bother Working for
   a Living? and Capital Punishment"

The games are out of print (thank God), but you can still
read about them here:
http://welfaregame.com/games/public/public_assistance.htm
http://www.welfaregame.com/games/capital/capital_punishment.htm
and all I can say is "wow". We obviously have
another "Christian" who doesn't believe in either mercy or
helping the poor.

I grew up in New York City in the 1970s, and saw firsthand how wrong you
are.

Public assistance (as it used to be constructed) wasn't about "helping
the poor."  It was about subsidizing the poor, so there would be more
poor.  My family used to try, at our own time and expense, to find
employment for our neighbors who were on welfare.  They weren't
interested.  They were getting their welfare check like clockwork, and
they were satisfied to just stay at home and continue to receive it.

I am curious --- how much, do you think, the average recipient of
welfare in the US receives?

Since I *was* on welfare for a spell, back in my younger days during
the LAST "worst recession since the Great Depression (after my plant
closed down and moved to Mexico and my unemployment ran out), I know
-- to the penny.

Do you?

Hint: No one can afford to sit at home, collect their welfare checks
like clockwork, and live high on the hog. No one.

No one.

Not even with Food Stamps added (do you know how much Food Stamps pays
to people per month? I do.)
