The Pope is personally quoted as accepting ID and rejecting evolution

Ray, you can delude yourself all you want, but anyone who can read can
tell you're full of it.  The news story doesn't support your
"creative" explanations.

Squirm and weasel-word all you want -- the fact remains that the
Church accepts evolution.

BEGIN LINK QUOTE
VATICAN CITY — Pope Benedict XVI has waded into the evolution debate
in the United States, saying the universe was made by an "intelligent
project" and criticizing those who in the name of science say its
creation was without direction or order.

Benedict made the off-the-cuff comments during his general audience
Wednesday. The Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, published the
full text of his remarks in its Thursday editions.

Benedict focused his reflections for the audience on scriptural
readings that said God's love was seen in the "marvels of creation."

He quoted St. Basil the Great, a fourth century saint, as saying some
people, "fooled by the atheism that they carry inside of them, imagine
a universe free of direction and order, as if at the mercy of
chance."

"How many of these people are there today? These people, fooled by
atheism, believe and try to demonstrate that it's scientific to think
that everything is free of direction and order," he said.

"With the sacred Scripture, the Lord awakens the reason that sleeps
and tells us: In the beginning, there was the creative word. In the
beginning, the creative word — this word that created everything and
created this intelligent project that is the cosmos — is also love."

What is the source of your opinion?

50-plus years of being a Catholic, and having been educated in
Catholic schools. That education included biological evolution, as
did my teachers'.

My source, quoted above, says the Pope accepts ID. I am a well known
Protestant Evangelical. I have nothing to lose here.

The phrase he used was "intelligent project," which is a euphamism for
God. Certainly you can understand that the words "project" and
"design" are different words? The church has been quite clear in its
views that ID/Creationism is nonsense.

Can you support your opinion AND explain the quotes by the Pope? Is
this unreasonable to ask VoiceOfReason?

See above. The Church accepts the fact of evolution, and it holds
that the ultimate cause is God.

The quotes by the Pope are anything but ambiguous.

Which makes your squirming and weasel-wording all the more
transparent.

I am wondering why
Darwinists keep snipping them? Can you answer this question too?

The way you keep ignoring reality, what's the point of including
them? I have left them in this post, and they still don't support
your distortions.
