This is usenet. What the hell are you talking about?

Some web sites ask those logging in to read the letters and numbers from a
picture and to type them in, to ensure that the person is a human and not a
bot.  The question is very OT, not just semi OT.  A sensible answer should
be sought in some other computing newsgroup.

Most TO regulars are more computer literate than I, so I was hoping
someone would help. I would not have asked here if I didn't think it
had some relevance to the design argument. In fact I was hoping on the
off chance that it would pose another problem (not that there aren't
enough already) for Dembski's Explanatory Filter.

It sounds like a cookie problem. Apparently, you are using some website
instead of a newsreader to post.
You probably had gone through some sort of verification procedure in the
past and had gotten an identification cookie installed on your hard
drive. The recent changes caused your cookie to become invalid.
Either reauthenticate yourself to the website (this may simply involve
responding to an email)or use a newsreader program. Email programs, like
Outlook Express or Thunderbird, have newsreader functions.
There are also many free dedicated newsreader programs available for
download.
Despite what some idiots (like Martinez) claim, usenet is not a website
and you do not need to use a website (like Google)to gain access.

I tried deleting all my cookies. It worked for one day!
