ironic..
Yeah, your brain is damaged lacking the hardware. This is why you
believe in evolution.
Ray
Interesting thought, Ray.
I have often concluded that there must be some type of subtle brain
chemistry that is out of balance in the evolutionist/atheist.
Perhaps a form of mental retardation that is undiscovered as of
date. But then again, it may be just a simple " lacking the
hardware" as you say. I think a study is needed.
Like the mutation in that Italian village that confers immunity to
heart disease to the villagers that have it. It wasn't an advantage
40,000 years ago (we all ate well and exercised vigorously in those
days). Bu this mutation showed up about 400 years ago, and it seems to
be spreading among the villagers and their neighbors.
Yes, I've wondered if I were some sort of rational mutant.
Perhaps I'm just less social - my reality is determined by the
evidence, and not emotion or social reinforcement.
1) They think in circles
Please give an example. The firs tone that comes to mind is the claim
that the Bible is trustworthy because it says so, but that's a
biblical literalist habit, not ours.
2) Their perception level is very low.
True :(
We can only perceive reality, and fail to confuse it with imagination.
3) They cannot pick up on subtle things
Like *your imagination. How... unperceptive of us.
4) If what ever information under consideration is not in a text
book they totally freak out and revert to the standard "pat" answers
that are from a junk science text book
The text books which all refer to actual, you know, what's that word
I'm looking for? Oh yeah, ....*evidence.
5) Double standards apply as a regularity
Yes, we keep asking you to use the same standards we do. Wait, that's
not what double standards means, does it?
Our standards are simple in conept if too subtle for some folks.
Use only verifiable data.
Use models which fit all the data, and make predictions (are
testable).
You have any?
6)They are afraid to let go of this reality
How many realities are there?
Why should I deny the evidence of my eyes because of *your
imagination?
7)They have no abstract thought at all
Must be why scientists never use math.
8) Common sense is almost non existent
Common sense says the Earth is flat.
9) They cannot correlate "this informaton to "that information"
<snort>
Do you have any examples? You're the one that thinks a nested
hierarchy is insignificant.
And imagination is not information.
10)Many of them think they can be in _direct opposition_ to the
teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and yet, somehow by magic, STILL be a
Christian...
You'll have to talk to them about that. But I see few fundamentalists
who have given up all their possessions, vowed pacifism, and denied
their attachment to their families to follow the path of the Rabbi
from Nazareth.
Of course, if he wasn't magical, then this isn't a problem, is it? But
that'srather a different issue from the truth of mainstream
evolutionary science.
oh, the mind boggles at the list I could make.
We agree!
I hope the champagne was good.

In case you were wondering, here - once again - are soem fo the
classes of evidence supporting the ToE:
Fossil evidence sorted by time, corresponding to progression of early,
simple forms to diversity of modern forms, with numerous clear
transitional series.
Fossil evidence showing progression of whole ecosystems, with various
types of fossils associated with only certain other fossils.
Fossil evidence corresponding to plate tectonics, magnetic striping,
and other geological evidence.
Nested hierarchy of morphology.
Nested hierarchy of all the genomes studied so far.
The fact that these two nested hierarchies *match* is evidence in
itself.
Vestigial organs, structures, molecules, and behaviors.
Life is unified by a sharing of fundamental polymers, nucleic acids,
protein catalysts, etc.

And every shred of your list suggests a common design.
You have it backwards K.
The imagined is to think that all of this earth-- and everything around
us--- and all of the complex systems that need to be in place and working
together at the same time --- just happened by chance and then kept
happening for millions of years.
Science itself is a testimony to the existence of God. Everything that
science has discovered screams "creator".
There has been 3 distinct earth ages where man rose and destroyed himself.
Each ending was preceded by man making an attempt to remove God for his own
knowledge. But this is the last eon. And it seems as though we are getting
near the end of this one. This universe and all of the elements will melt
and a new heaven and earth will be born. Look it up.
HTH.
