Yes exactly.
In the past the bible has been wrongly interpreted to mean
the decease was caused by demons, that the earth was the
fixed center of the universe, and that species were unchanging
and immutable.
It is only by examining God's handiwork directly, that we are
able to reach the correct meaning of the words in scripture.
Kind of makes the Scripture itself rather unnecessary, doesn't it?
