Thanks for the reference.
Here are some web site on photographing small objects that you might

Browse through the articles and forums. There is a particularly
useful pair, one called "Beginners Micro", the other "Beginners
Macro". This has stuff for rank beginners but also a lot of valuable
info for people rather farther along than that.

Thanks. I added those on the sidebar (I'm sure microscopic enthusiasts
will happen along too, as they do on other things I've published). I
will try to check those out when I get the opportunity (backlogged on
stuff). And yes, the lady at NOAA said it was difficult to see that
set of recent videos (other videos in the past, and photos, have
turned out really good). Luck of the draw. Those videos made my skills
appear horrible. *smile* But when you catch a rare opportunity to
film, you have to take it as it comes.
Here's the microscope I work with:

I got it through http://www.microscopeworld.com/ -- a garden variety
$500 "made in China" model. I'm content though I sure would love to
have access to more advanced equipment and the correct knowledge to
operate. At the local college they have an electron scanning
microscope, but some of the parts in it are damaged and they haven't
had the funds to repair it. One of the staff opened the room and
showed it to me. She explained its an extremely complicated process
which takes training/courses.
A goal I would like to reach, in the future.
In fact that site may be a far better one to help you identify stuff
than talk.origins!
Nah, you guys are great. I usually get what I come here for.
