No Steves, and in fact no names I recognize. But I am impressed
enough with the biographical info I have found.
I haven't much cared for GWB since he lied to me about WMD.
Nor did I like most of his environment related policies.
I will give him credit, though, for what he has done regarding
AIDS in Africa and the protection of large swatches of the ocean.
And I regard the charge of a "War on Science" as just election-year
rhetoric.
the Bush administration's distain for science is definitely *not*
simply election year rhetoric...it's the real deal, and Bush, his
appointees, and his supporters have been vigorously pursuing it
since day one

Kansas Education Board First to Back 'Intelligent Design'
<QUOTE http://tinyurl.com/8w87z>
"This is a great day for education. This is one of the best things
that we can do. This absolutely teaches more about science," said
Steve E. Abrams, the Kansas board chairman who shepherded the
conservative Republican majority that overruled a 26-member science
committee and turned aside the National Academy of Sciences and the
National Science Teachers Association.

Life is too complex for evolution to explain, say supporters of
intelligent design. Yet they insist market forces will suffice for
the economy, writes John Allen Paulos

But I have to say that the attention to science and scientists
that we have seen so far from Obama is definitely a welcome change.
