Bob, the evidence that is found there does support the
biblical account,

No it does not.

I see you have nothing to support that, or you would have
printed it.

It has been "printed" several times by all concerned.
I even quoted from the site you referenced about Jerico and showed
that
his viewpoint is in the minority and that *he* used natural event to
explain all that happened.
Posting the same thing over and over to you is pointless.
<snip>

I'm not giving a viewpoint Mark, I was reporting what
archaeologists have said that excavated and are still
excavating the place.

You are grasping at the straws thrown to you by a very small minority
of archaeologists who have ignored real evidence in order to make
things fit with the bible.

Interesting statement, since only a small amount of
archaeologists have ever excavated the site! I am
going by what they found and reported.

I'm also going by what was found and reported.

I'm also
going by what my own mother saw when she was
there, plus the newer finds since she was there in about
1964.

Unless you can show your mother's qualifications then here evidence is
worthless. I've no doubt that she, like you, is so deluded you will
clutch at any straw that even remotely seems to support you.

Bob, get a clue. There are several possible dates for the
Exodus.

There was no exodus, that is your basic problem.

And again, you offer zero.

Same as above.
Read some of the books that I have recommended. You should at least
have
a
vague idea of what archeology and history says about your bible myths.
You can believe what you want but you don't have a clue as to what has
been found out.
<snip>

My mom has been to Jericho and reports the same things
that the archaeologists have told us in the things that I
have reported. So there is no argument about it. You can
believe what you wish.

So your mum is a trained bronze age archeologist? She has taken
samples and had them properly dated in certified labs?

Actually, she almost is, but learned on her own. She has
certainly educated my whole family about archaeology.

Hohohohohohoho!!!! That is just sooooo funny.

And, no, you do not have to be an archaeologist yourself
in order to report what they have found there, but she has
seen what they have found, from the layer of ash around
the city, to many of the details that are there.

Yep, a layer of ash from about 1600BC, part of the destruction of the
village by earthquake. Destruction that is at least 200 years, and
more likely 400 years too early to match biblical chronology.

Your claims are empty, though, Bob.

They are not his claims they are the claims of all mainstream science.
You could not geet even a Masters in a real university with your inane
beliefs.

Let me give you a tip. When you use the words "mainstream"
it's a tip-off that you feel helpless against what someone
has reported, because you don't know any information to
debate with. As a last resort, to start hurling insults at a
person is a tip-off also to your frustration. You also sound
like you want to cover up what was found at Jericho.

Far from it. What has been found at Jericho proves that the biblical
account is fiction.

What was found at Jericho doesn't prove. It just exists
and gets reported. People can read the Bible and see
what the details are that the Israelites said were there,
and then they can see what is found there by the
archaeologists, and know that what they found is what
the Bible says is there.

But it isn't. When will you get that through your thick skull? The
archaeology does NOT support the biblical story.

I really
have told you what is there, but I can see that you do not
trust me.

<snip>

Your knowledge of the bible is about the same as your knowledge of c=
f
lambda.
You are being very silly.

But not as silly as your beliefs.

Sorry, Bob, but you have been shown ample information
that the layer of city of Jericho with the verifiable details
matching the biblical account is dated at 1400 B.C. plus
or minus 40 years, approx. It has been reevalutated in
modern times and found to be that. You can believe what
you wish, but what you have been saying is not the most
accurate and up-to-date information. All the details that
are listed in the Bible are found at Jericho, from the
layer of ash surrounding the layer of city dated 1400 B.C.
showing that the city was burned, to the grains that were
not taken which were used as a memorial to God, which
remain in the jars in that layer of Jericho, to the pictures
of the actual houses built upon the wall, to the fact that
they've even determined that the walls fell outwards and
flat, exactly as also the Bible says.
--
Joshua 6:5:
"And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long
blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of
the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout;
and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people
shall ascend up every man straight before him."
---
Joshua 6:20:
"So the people shouted when the priests blew with the
trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the
sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great
shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went
up into the city, every man straight before him, and they
took the city."
In this website, which is approx. 2/3rds the way down,
there is a diagram of what was found at Jericho of the
bricks from the wall. The diagram is brightly colored
yellow, red and brown. The 8 paragraphs preceeding that
diagram of the walls tell about the walls being verified to
have fallen outwards and flat. Then the next photo that a
little ways under that diagram shows a man standing next
to the fallen and cascading bricks that actually form steps
for the Iraelite soldiers to go up into the city and capture
it are still visible in this photo to be exactly what the
Bible describes in the excerpt that I wrote out for you
which is above. Then there is yet another black and white
diagram below that photo of the man standing next to the
collapsed wall where the bricks fell down flat, and that
diagram shows it also. This is very, very clearly what the
Bible says...
