I have to sonder - just how intellignet is the Designer? What incredible
amount of knowledge of chemsitry and physics, what amounts of experiment and
testing, how much time it must have taken and so on - and is it possible for
a single being to be equipped with the capcaity to create not only Giardia,
but countless millions of other species? Why so many millions of insects?
Why the cruelty of creating not only Giardia, but also, say, parastic wasps?
I recall that Dembski might have once admitted that the designer could
be natural selection (at least, he couldn't rule it out and admitted
that it would look like a designer did it), and then the designer
would not have a brain. All you need is a set of variable
environments that allow life to evolve. The ID perps claim that there
are examples of things that could not have evolved via this path, but
they also admit that they have no way of determining just what those
examples are and they can't demonstrate that the ones that they keep
putting up are such examples. If they could demonstrate any such
thing they wouldn't be running the bait and switch on their own
creationist supporters.
