And earlier that year, the Anchorage Daily News reported that Palin
said the following about creationism at a debate:
"Teach both.
*Both?
*There's more than one religious fable about the creation of the universe
and mankind.
*Teach them all (including the fact taht there is absolutely notyhing to
support the fairy tales) OR teach only science!
You know, don't be afraid of information....
*Fairy tales have nothing to do with valid information.
*Healthy
debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools.
Sure - but debating religion vs science is NOT one of them.
I am a
proponent of teaching both.
AKA "Science and ONE PARTICULAR (fanatical) religious viewpoint"!
And you know, I say this too as the
daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and
blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the
subject -- creationism and evolution.
You get information from reality (science), you get delusions, fantasies,
wishful thinking and tons of other useless crap from biblical fairy tales!
It's been a healthy foundation
for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both
sides."
How abou this tidbit of information, the Constituion of the United States
forbids the teaching of YOUR ONE zealous religious viewpoint in publicn
schools!

She went, quickly, from a possible good candidate - to the bottom of the
barrel!
