I disagree with the argument, but it is hardly "Total bullshit".
I have several concerned with the argument,
the most fundamental is that I would argue that given a
complex map from genotype to phenotype, it is not possible
to simply relate the number of degrees of freedom provided by the
genotype
to the number of degrees of freedom in the phenotype. In particular,
one cannot claim that the putative fact the the number of degrees of
freedom
in the phenotype is much larger than the number of degrees of
freedom provided by the genotype poses a problem.
