During the Rockefeller symposium cocktail hour, Buick informed me I'd
upset the carefully delivered lecture of Harvard's Andrew Knoll ("it's
natural selection every step of the way") by introducing a question
from the floor about Stuart Newman's hypothesis that the 35 or so
modern animal phyla self-organized by the time of the Cambrian
explosion a half billion years ago without a genetic recipe (let's
hope Nature magazine's followup on Altenberg 16: An Exposé of the
Evolution Industry in the next issue corrects the reporting mistakes
of Science  and focuses on Altenberg's real headliner --Stuart
Newman).
Umm...what?

You don't honestly expect an evolution industry shill like you to accept
this.

Accept what, exactly? I've found a story at the Panda's Thumb that sheds
some light. Mazur is some kind of nut (agenda uncertain, but opposed to
natural selection being a major mechanism of evolution) who is intent on
coopting anyone she can, including real biologists. And she loves Stuart
Pivar.

I simply found the notion of an Evolution Industry to be probably the oddest
way of saying Atheistic Darwinists yet.

Honorable mention, in another thread, for "or as I prefer,
Darwinoid". (Not self-applied.)
