A friend previously unfamiliar with most of the actual details of
evolution is reading "Your Inner Fish" and loves the book. He is
fascinated by everything explained therein and I would love to take the
opportunity to introduce him to other works. Any suggestions for other
books on the same, popular level about evolution? He is a very smart
man, just not educated about evolution or paleontology. I do have "Lucy"
and some of Richard Leakey's old books in my own library, but isn't
Leakey's stuff out-of-date or sometimes just plain wrong?

If he's not allergic to the name of Dawkins there's always "The Ancestor's Tale". (Someone else will have to comment about the level - I haven't read "Your Inner Fish".)
