Defeating Darwin in 4 easy steps

Bryan Fischer

What follows is a straightforward, 4-step refutation of the theory of
evolution. They're easy to remember, and make a nice little cadence
when spoken with a little rhythm: First Law, Second Law, Fossils and
Genes. Armed with this truth, go forth and conquer.

Before we even start, we ought to notice that, if evolution is true,
there would be no way to know it. Because evolution teaches that
everything that exists is the product of the random collision of
atoms, this logically includes the thoughts I am thinking about
evolution.

Except that evolution teaches no such thing. Certainly not at least
"everything that exists". Certainly there are random elements to the
ToE but life itself has developed into something highly organized.

But if my thoughts are the product of the random collision
of atoms, there is no reason to think that any of them are true ? they
just are.

No one "random collision of atoms" can be said to be truer than
another, any more than one randomly generated Rorschach ink blot can
be said to be more correct than another.

As J.B.S. Haldane famously observed, "If my mental processes are
determined wholly by the motion of atoms in my brain, I have no reason
to suppose that my beliefs are true and hence I have no reason for
supposing my brain to be composed of atoms."

All right, here we go.

1. First Law of Thermodynamics. This law (note: not a theory but a
scientific law)

Note: This clown clearly doesn't understand what a 'theory' and a
'law' is with respect to science.

What follows is essentially a mish-mash of:

- god of the gaps arguments
- proof through bad analogies
- unsupported first cause arguments
- fallacies of appeal to authority.
- quote mining (even from Gould!)
- outright lies

most of which have nothing to do whatsoever with the ToE.

3. Fossils. Realize that the fossil record is the only tangible,
physical evidence for the theory of evolution that exists. The fossil
record is it. There is absolutely nothing else Darwinians have they
can show you.

Except for:

- The existence of nested hierarchies both within and outside
of the highly complex and very telling fossil record.
- Within a clear pattern of nested hierarchies you will find
homologies, vestigial structures, and atavisms that clearly
fit in with and are explained by the ToE.
- A pattern of species distribution over time that nicely
coincide with continental drift, land bridges caused by ice ages
(and the absence of such connections as well).
- Genetic and DNA evidence that strongly support the ToE in
a multiple number of ways. This is especially significant given
the fact that the ToE preceded these lines of strong evidence
by a good deal.

By spreading ignorance?

He has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy (from
Stanford University) and a graduate degree in theology.

Nope! Not one lick of science. It really shows. I wonder which one
of these two subjects is most responsible for his outright lying - his
philosophy or his religion?
