The Jesus from the stories certainly is a rolled up character, a
composite. Perhaps inspired by a real man, but not necessarily so.
So *you* know better than the Biblical scholars who have spent their careers studying the subject.
Most biblical scholars are interested only in gathering evidence to prove the Bible is right. In other words, it is entirely possible that they ignore data which contradicts the Bible. Where the Bible is concerned, most of those who believe in it cannot be considered objective and those who believe in it refuse to believe that a secular viewpoint is objective.
