Thanks for the update, I hadn't posted to the group in quite some time
and was wondering why my messages weren't appearing.
FWIW - When I post from work, I am restricted by the "smart filter"
and some filter placed on MSoutlook. I am blocked from any webmail,
and outlook will only allow messages from any discussion group (google
or yahoo) for about 24 hours until they get bounced. In addition,
incoming messages are scanned for profanity. These are simply tossed
out, with no report back to the sender that the message was not
delivered.
I've also tried anonymizers, but they get blocked after a day or two.
I don't have the computer savvy (or desire) to set up my own remote
host/anonymizer from home. So unfortunately, I have to deal with
reading and posting via the group utility.
If the worst thing that happens to me is that I get shut off from a
discussion group, it's been a pretty good day.

Users posting to talk.origins from Google Groups need to be aware that
there is a default block on posting from that service, because it's
a fetid, spammer-infested piece of ***.
Seriously, people, get a real ISP and newsfeed, already.
In the interim, the moderator is periodically checking the filter
trap for actual posters and pulling out what looks like non-spam from
it.
If you think you're being caught by it, email the moderator.
Changing your gmail screen name really irks the moderator as he has
to go back in and re-whitelist your dumb ass.
