Same, dull, pig-ignorant rant from Ben Stein, with FL thrown in

It's so dumb that I'd never bother with it, if they weren't paying a
good deal of money to make Americans more stupid than they are:

"Florida's Darwinian Interlude
By Ben Stein
Published 2/20/2008 12:08:44 AM
"Just a few tiny, insignificant little questions.

* How did the universe start?

* Where did matter come from?

* Where did energy come from?

* Where did the laws of motion, thermodynamics, physics, chemistry,
come from?

* Where did gravity come from?

* How did inorganic matter, that is, lifeless matter such as dirt and
rocks, become living beings?

* Has anyone ever observed beyond doubt the evolution of a new
mammalian or aviary species, as opposed to changes within a species?

"These teeny weeny little questions are just some of the issues as to
which Darwin and Darwinism have absolutely no verifiable answers.
Hypotheses.

"Yes. Guesses. Yes. Proof? None.

"To my little pea brain, these are some pretty big issues about
evolution, the origins of life, and genetics that Darwinism cannot
answer. Now, to be fair, does anyone else have verifiable answers
either? Not as far as I know."

The man is as pea-brained as he indicates above, still too stupid not
to recognize that evolution has absolutely no hypotheses for the
majority of his list, since most aren't even addressed by biology. He
thinks that evolution is like his idiot religion, providing
meaningless answers to everything, rather than being a science with
limited answers to a much narrower collection.

He seems to have been coached well enough not to say that no
speciation has been observed, and asking for observations of mammalian
or aviary speciation. Which is twice misdirection, both trying to
avoid observed speciation of plants, and trying to void the ample
evidence that we have of, to pick a very familiar example, finch
speciation.

OK, nothing new about Stein being both hideously ignorant, and
dishonest to the hilt. It just happens to matter so long as he's
deliberately aiming his lies at the American public, as he is
currently doing.
