It's good to hear tolerance doesn't mean accepting of doing evil.
You say "look, talk or think" differently. These are in different
categories. Could we single out "talking differently"?
If the talking is about matters of taste, let the diversity reign. But
if the talking is about a matter of truth, shouldn't we should seek
unity?
When I wrote "talk differently" I was thinking of people who speak
languages other than English within the territorial boundaries of the
U.S.A or of people who speak English with strong "foreign" accents.
You may not realize it, but there are incredibly strong prejudices
against such people. That is a common form of intolerance.
If you include content in "talk differently", then you can simply
argue the contrary position if you hold that people speak untruth. Of
course, there are untruths like crying 'Fire' in a crowded theater
when there is no fire, but that is a completely different topic.
