But 3/4 of the volume of the planet is nonmagnetic - magnetic fields
cannot hold it in place.

If they are layered it would.

If what were layerd? The magnetic fields? The non-magnetic rocks that
comprise the mantle? Layered how? Do you have any idea how little
sense you are making?

Further, how do you propose to assemble a
planet without collisions? Please be specific here. Do little work
angels dock each piece nice and gentle?

Something like that.

Even if you don't have gravity
you still have momentum to worry about. I;m really afraid that you
haven't thought this through.

If placed gently, what does momentum have to do with it?

Lots and lots. To avoid collisions you need to slow the approaching
masses (reduce momentum), which requires force and has nothing to do
with gravity. Since we are talking about chunks of a planet, your
little work angels had better be pretty brawny.

Then of course, what hapens when you turn gravity on, and all of a
sudden the innards are subjected to millions of atmospheres of
pressure?
Rock is not rigid - it is compressible. Think about some of the
implications here.

When it becomes subject to gravity, the innards will become hot hot
hot.

why?

GOD knew this and preformed it accordingly taking that into account.

Duh.

You know, it would be so much easier, simpler, and much more consistent
with what we know about physics to just say that God poofed the earth
into existence late one Thursday afternoon...
