One population transforms into another slightly different population;
repeat. Do this enough times and you get any magnitude of transformation
you like, including from a monkey-looking monkey to modern human.
But what is a population, it is just a collection of individuals. You
are confusing the issues again.
Two monkeys or apes or whatever got the hots for each other way back
then, they mated and gave birth to what? A human or monkey or
monkeyhuman. What did the very first monkeyhuman look like.
