LAKELAND | A Polk County School Board member said Monday she wants the
district to consider opposing proposed new science standards for
Florida schools that would include specific mention of evolution for
the first time.

The proposed standards intended to strengthen science education in
Florida have widespread backing from the scientific community and have
generated limited opposition statewide.

However, Polk board member Kay Fields objects to the portion of the
standards that includes evolution, and she said she will talk with
Superintendent Gail McKinzie this week about possible action the
district can take.

"There needs to be intelligent design as well," Fields said. "You need
to show both sides."

Fields said she's only received one phone call from a parent opposed
to the new standards. The mother of two children who attend Polk
schools told Fields she favored teaching intelligent design.

Another creationist rube that bought into the teach ID scam and that
hasn't gotten the memo that the bait and switch has been going on for
over half a decade. How long will it take the ID scam artists to run
the bait and switch on this rube? By next week, at the latest, this
creationist rube will have been given the replacement scam and if she
falls for the bait and switch scam she will be touting that she wants
to teach more about evolution and the controversy.

How sad is that?

Why would anyone take another dishonest scam, from the same ID perps
that they know lied to them about the last scam?

Because they don't know (or realize) there was a previous scam. Of
course I'm only talking about the honest but ignorant people.

That doesn't work in this case because she is advocating the old teach
ID creationist scam. She will be give the new critical analysis
creationist scam and will find out that it doesn't even mention that
ID ever existed. The same perps that sold the teach ID scam are
perpetrating the replacement scam. They have been running the bait
and switch on people like her for over half a decade. Some of the
rubes take the switch even though they know that it is coming from the
same dishonest perps that lied to them about ID. We will see what she
does.

I wonder if she's been in touch with the Thomas Moore Law Center.
After all, they were the ones who recommended _Pandas_ to Buckingham,
Bonsall, et. al. in Dover.- Hide quoted text -

My guess is that she has already been contacted by someone with ties
to the Discovery Institute. Meyer ran the first bait and switch
personally. The Discovery Institute used to have a lawyer associated
with the institute do the dirty bait and switch, but they probably do
it through intermediaries now to try and look like they aren't
involved.

We will find out how she takes the bait and switch. If she starts
mouthing the Discovery Institute rhetoric about teaching more about
evolution you know that she took the switch. If she drops out of
sight she didn't. Pretty sad when the ID perps have to run a scam on
their own supporters, but that is the reality of the current
situation.

Did the Nova episode play in their part of the world?
