With vista you need a good fast machine. Minimum required is 512mb.
Recommended is 2 gb
Most people only get the minimum. Almost all complain about how slow
it is after only a couple of weeks. I have talked to people with 2g
of ram and they complain about it being slow also. It seems that as
the user adds programs they run in the background using up resources.
And the various antivirus and firewall software slow things way down.
I do tech support that deals with different os's and Vista itself
seems ok, but the programs running on it tend to slow it down, while
this can be said of any os, Vista seems to be the worst.
