Ray, you wouln't happen to have a reference for that statement, would
you? Where NASA declared that to be the polar diameter?

Because 3949.901 is the polar RADIUS, not the diameter. The Polar
diameter is twice that, or approximately 7900 miles or 12 713.505 Km

Right, I made a mistake, it is radius. Of course I said radius in my
original post but accidentially said "diameter" in said subsequent
post.
