Because humans are not capable of changing the global enviroment.
Humans are probably not capable of causing other species to go extinct
either.
Look up "dodo", for example:

"The tragedy of the dodo highlights the potential effects mankind can have
upon the environment, and the ease with which humanity can disrupt the
delicate balance of an ecosystem by eradicating whole species. As one of
the earliest examples of modern ecovandalism, the impact of the Portuguese
sailors on Mauritius not only wiped out the famous dodo, but further
disrupted nature in unexpected ways."

Of course the dodo was extinguished by Portugese sailors. What were
they going to eat? The dodo, by adapting itself to an island, gave up
many useful adaptations that would have made this more difficult. This
often happens to island animals. They are artificially protected, in a
sense, from predation and competition, and thus become 'sitting ducks'
when the going gets tough. It's too bad, but the dodo was really
doomed no matter what, as soon as anything else reached the island.
How the *** do you know. Or are you an authority on island ecosystems
as well as climatic conditions?
Don't blame the sailors.
Of course not, blame the dodo. Typical "its the victim's fault"
bollocksology.
Going extinct is not a tragedy anyway,
Being deliberately driven to extinction is, especially if it is done
for greed.
and I don't understand why some
people get all worked up about it.
Perhaps if your intellect was located in your cranium rather than your
perineum you just might.
99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999(±)% of the species that have
ever existed are extinct now.
Yeah. You counted every one.

way of a whole human being." (Abraham Lincoln).
