DI stick their fingers into a blender ...

.... well ok - into the Peppered Moth debate. But someone is going to
get hurt and I don't think it's Majerus or Matzke.

DI have unleashed the power of a certain Mr J Wells esq. on a
typewriter and an apparently random collection of 'facts' linked in a
Burroughs style cut up sequence that purports to demonstrate that:

"The peppered moth story died, not because it was proven false, but
because the evidence that allegedly supported it was deeply flawed.
Nevertheless, natural selection due to camouflage and bird predation
camouflage remains a possible explanation, and as Sargent and his
colleagues wrote in 1998 it "may be true, in whole or in part."

But it doesn't matter, because the truth or falsity of the peppered
moth story is largely irrelevant to Darwinian evolution - at least
from a scientific standpoint."

I'm sure PT will pick up on the Wellsian salvo which has probably only
wheeled JW blinking into the sunlight for the shock value before he
goes back into storage. Thought I'd share here though.
