Re: Need somebody to post to Newsweek blog

I pointed out in comments to a Newsweek article about Huckabee's
qualifications to be President, that if he lacks even a rudimentary
understanding of basic science (as shown by his stance against evolution)
he is not qualified to be a world leader.

Mary V, the latest idiot I am trying to respond to, said "well it's a
theory of evolution and creation, you must choose in which to believe"
creating (or evolving) a false dichotomy.

Can somebody please post in reply to this ignorant bimbo and let her know
that it IS possible for some people to accept both creation AND evolution,
that the two don't necessarily mutually exclude each other except by some
people's interpretations?

The thread is at http://politics.talk.newsweek.com/default.asp?item=669030

The reason I am asking is that I have tried unsuccessfully for two days to
reply. Apparently I am being censored now (even though my earlier posts are
there). Newsweek has not replied to my inquiry for the reason.

I believe a fundamentalist of any religion, Hindu, Christian, Muslim,
Jewish, whatever, is a dangerous person to have in a position of authority
because of their intolerance and apparent lack of reasoning ability.
Fundamentalists are fond of creating false dichotomies, e.g., evolution OR
creation.

Mary V. said in another post that God will determine how the world ends. My
concern is that Huckabee, being a fundamentalist Christian, if elected
President would be in a position to determine how the world ends in a crisis
situation, and I don't want an ignorant nut job to have that much power.
