Almost. It really isn't about ice "shrinking" when it melts. It's
about Archimede's principles for floating objects like the
Arctic ice cap. Unfortunately for Florida and Amsterdam, there
is a lot of ice on *land* in the Antarctic and Greenland and
Archimede's principles don't apply to that ice.
Again, another case of a "little" (very, very little) knowledge...
Florida and Amsterdam don't have that much to worry about (well...
considering Katrina, maybe Florida does).
Why is that? Much of Holland is already below sea-level.

A rise in sea levels of about 7 meters would inundate about 80% of
human population centers.

Like Lex Luthor, I plan to buy up inland land cheap and
make a killing when it becomes waterfront property.
