Ed is a customer of Verizon.net.
His current posting IP is 71.241.127.241, which belongs to
Verizon Internet Services, Inc. I have blocked this IP but he will
eventually get around it.
I have emailed ab...@xxxxxxxxxxx with a request that his account be
revoked
for repeated violation of Verizon's Newsgroup Policy:
"Newsgroup Posting Policy
It is a violation of Verizon policy to add messages to newsgroups
1) that
are clearly inappropriate given the intended purpose or scope of the
newsgroup, including adding commercial postings to newsgroups of a
non-commercial nature, or 2) in a manner that is clearly excessive
and
intended to annoy or harass. Subscribers that Verizon determines to
be
in violation of this policy shall be subject to immediate
termination
of service without prior notice, or immediate suspension of service
without
prior notice pending results of an investigation."
The email I sent in generated an auto-response with a ticket ID of
[AB-C3466624Y]
Anyone wishing to chip in their $0.02 as to Ed's abusive posting
behaviour
on talk.origins should make sure to include the ticket info or they
can
open their own complaint.
I've frankly had it with being nice to Ed and stuffing him back in
his
box every time he slimes his way out. I am *requesting* people to
complain to Verizon as Ed has *clearly* been breaking the latter
condition
of his AUP for *years*.
In short, I want his head. And you all will help me get it.

In short what Ed did was to post messages. When Greig saw the
messages he frowned and said, "that must be stopped."
That was Ed's only crime.
Don't you ever get tired of being wrong? Ed's other crime is that he
nym-shifts to avoid kill files.
And spams the same voluminous crap over and over and over again.
Anyone who knows Ed as I know him knows
that he likes to humor Greig and his fellow intolerant evolutionists.
You don't see to know what the term "to humor" means. Humoring
someone means to go along with them even if you disagree.
McCoy knows Ed? Hell, there's a dangerous stupidity vortex just waiitng to
form and wipe out half the East Coast. Good job Ray lives in California.
Nah, I think McCoy is in California- Lassen National Park was his
doing. It was designed as an experimental geo-irony meter, but it's
proximity led to...well, you can see the results.
But I bet McCoy only knows that Ed's wrong all the time just like he
is, so he must be a fellow traveler. But I have to say JM doesn't spew
the kind of vile crap that Ed has taken up.
Why are you defending that, McCoy? It's not your style at all.
Ed has been very sarcastic, and he did explain some of that to me. He
did purposely exaggerate on many points to humor you. But he is
straightforeward on those items to which he is serious. I think he
may have gone slightly overboard on many of his approaches, and
personally I don't think it was sound judgement. But your reaction to
him is worse, if not ridiculous.
Really? I don't count it as sarcasm when Ed spewed his particular
brand of filth across t.o. He was one of the vilest guttermouths I've
seen, which is saying a lot. There are plenty of unmoderated fora in
which he can spew; there's no reason we should have to put up with it
here.
Now, that's my personal reason to be glad he's gone. The fact is that
he was warned on numerous occasions to quit nym-shifting, and he
ignored the warnings. The t.o. FAQ is posted bimonthly, and he's been
around long enough to know the rules. DIG was putting up with him for
YEARS. I would not have had that patience; can you honestly say you
would have?
